End of the first blogging week

The end of the first blogging week, and it's been OK. I've not gained any weight, but I've not lost any either. I started at 16st 11pounds, and I'm still 16st 11lbs. An improvement on last week as I gained a pound. Considering the junk I ate earlier in the week, I think I've done OK
I have signed up for a program called turbulence training which claims tremendous weight loss and fitness without sweating every hour of every day. I only need to do a 45 minuet workout 3 times a week and I'll be "slim and fit" in no time at all. I've looked through the program and it looks quite straight forward, but I've not done the workout yet, maybe tomorrow after work, I'll let you know how it goes. There is a link to the site I registered with on the right if you're interested.
I'm always looking for E-Books or any information that could help with fitness, weight loss and general well being, so if you know of anything that might interest me, please reply.

So, here we go......

Good morning,
Let me start by letting you into my life as it is.
I'm an overweight bloke of 41 and I'm trying to get fit and lose 3 stones (42 pounds) before I go on holiday in September. That sounds like a lot to lose in a comparatively short time, but I started about 6 weeks ago, and have already lost 12 pounds. Sounds pretty good so far, but there's a down side.
The weight lose is down to the simple principle of eating less junk (well, no junk and moderate amounts of healthy stuff) and exercising more. We bought a second-hand treadmill and was speed walking and running on that every day. It seemed to be much easier to just go into the conservatory and run, rather than join a gym and go through the effort of getting ready, driving there and doing a work-out. Both my wife Debbie and I were doing well with the fitness levels and weight loss, then, 2 weeks ago the treadmill went "bang", and now will only run at a brisk walk, so we need to get a new one. The result of this blow-up is I have put back on 3 1/2 pounds and that's not good.
By letting the world know about my efforts, it's going to be much harder to give up, and I can't hide from the fact that I'm not just letting myself down if I let things slide again, I'll be letting you down as well, so I hope you can support me and Debbie in our quest for slim fitness.
I may post some photos later, but at the moment, I'm such a "fat bloke" I don't really do photos, but I do have a "before" photo which, when it's only a memory I'll post it with an "after" photo.
